Conflict Resolutions
The Conflict Resolution Project proved to be an overwhelming success. Demand for this project exceeded all levels of expectation.
Conflicts in society is at unprecedented high, especially amongst young people.
The project helped and supported young people in a number of ways, these area’s included how to resolve conflicts, how to avoid conflicts, how to avoid Gangs with a strong anti-gang message, social media awareness, cyber bullying, social skills, people skills, cultural diversity awareness, respect issues, attitude issues, education and community cohesion.
We took the project into various Centre’s throughout Huddersfield and went into various Junior and High Schools in Huddersfield and Bradford.
The response was phenomenal in every school we visited and as well as the pupils learning from the project all the teachers said they learned something also and want us to come back into all the schools in the new term in September 2019.

The Conflict Resolution Initiative started in January 2017.
Engaging with youths and young people to tackle and address issues regarding young people.
We work in Schools, Youth Clubs/Hubs, Community Centres and outreach work.
We offer a variety of different packages to suit your needs.
For the Schools we can do a whole year Assembly, Selected Classes, Hand Picked Pupils and one on one or small group Mentoring.
Subject matter covered -
GUN/KNIFE CRIME
Tackling the ever-growing issues of Gun/Knife Crime in our community, Showing the young people we are engaging with, there are positive alternatives in life.
GANG/POSTCODE WARS
Addressing the issues of Gangs and Postcode Wars steering young people away from this and delivering early intervention programme’s in the Schools and Community Hubs.
SOCIAL MEDIA AWARENESS
Positives and negatives of Social Media and looking at all the different platforms of social media.
Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, Texts.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY TRAINING
Teaching young people about different Cultures, Ethnicities and customs, accepting different cultures in a Multi-Racial Environment. Looking at Urban Youth, Embracing the new Communities and languages in the UK.
SOCIAL/LIFE SKILLS
Looking at life, including responsibilities, School and Family life, Life after School, College and University opportunities, paying bills and being around the correct role models.
RESPECT AND ATTITUDE ISSUES
Applying respect and the correct attitude in School, in the home and life in general.
Explaining how respect takes you a long way in life and why it is essential to have a positive attitude.
EDUCATION
Instilling the importance of education, encouraging the young people to continue into further education and the benefits of going to University.
Knowledge is the key and gives each individual better prospect in life.
CONFLICTS AND AVOIDING CONFLICT
We stress to the young people “Negative actions usually have Negative consequences. We explain about Conflicts and how best to resolve a conflict.
Conflicts happen everywhere in life, In school, in the home, in the work place, in your social life, in your own environment etc.
